Note that this visit was not restricted to the scheduled lecture from 5-6:30pm, but included meetings and discussions with patients and patient advocates; numerous PhD's and MD's; clinicians, researchers; as well as epidemiologists and psychologists.  Dr. Bob appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to showcase his data at his lecture/seminar.  

In addition, Dr. Bob had never previously enjoyed the privileges and unique challenges he encountered during the other small group meetings.  Here, the local faculty (and local patient representatives), each with their own field of interest in prostate cancer treatment and/or research, were able to question Dr. Bob and learn about his other prostate cancer treatment protocols; their results; as well as inquires of his opinions, insights and his experiences with his prostate cancer research and treatment.  Because Dr. Bob did not know or expect any of this other than the lecture, all of his responses were spontaneous.  He loved the entire day and all of its parts, and especially the intellectual challenges.
