Welcome!
Dr. Bob has been treating
cancer patients since 1970. In 1967, when Dr. Bob was a 2nd year medical student, he attended his first “Tumor Board”. Dr. Bob heard medical histories presented and recommendations for treatment of these cancer patients discussed by various types of cancer specialists. Dr. Bob discovered this is what he wanted to do – to treat patients with cancer. For over more than 40 years, Dr. Bob has witnessed an explosion in knowledge and treatment options for patients with cancer. Beginning in 1991, Dr. Bob began to sub-specialize in prostate cancer and since 1997, almost all of our new patients have prostate cancer. Dr. Bob takes extreme pride that our Compassionate Oncology Medical Group has been able to make major contributions to the treatment of men with every stage of prostate cancer. For men
with
low or intermediate risk prostate cancer (PC),
Dr. Bob conceived, named, pioneered and was the first to publish the
results of
his unique medical protocol for the treatment of these stages of PC,
which he
named Triple Hormone Blockade® (also known as Triple Androgen
Blockade®) followed
by Finasteride Maintenance® Therapy. In
2003, the US Trademark Office Later, Dr. Bob conceived, named and pioneered the use of weekly low dose Taxotere/Emcyt/Carboplatinum chemotherapy 3 weeks on; 1 week off. Additional major treatment contributions by Dr. Bob and Compassionate Oncology Medical Group have included Dr. Bob’s Prostate Cancer Anti-angiogenic Cocktail, Dr. Bob’s Three Pronged Approach for treating high risk or advanced disease, and Dr. Bob’s High-Dose Testosterone Replacement Therapy approach. These and Dr. Bob’s other contributions are described in his various recorded lectures (available for order by calling our office at 310-229-3555) and many are also described in his various papers that can be downloaded for free under Publications on this website. |

A
new paper by Dr. Bob titled "Shingles; Vaccine and Post Shingles Pain" is now
available for download! Check out Dr. Bob's other papers here.
Click here for more information and a peek
at his day at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and the
University of Washington.
His trip to
the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, was not restricted to the
scheduled lecture from 5-6:30pm, but
included meetings and discussions with patients and patient advocates;
numerous
PhD's and MD's; clinicians, researchers; as well as epidemiologists and
psychologists. Dr. Bob appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed the
opportunity
to showcase his data at his lecture/seminar.
In addition,
Dr. Bob had never previously enjoyed the privileges and unique
challenges he encountered
during the other small group meetings. Here, the local faculty
(and local
patient representatives), each with their own field of interest in
prostate
cancer treatment and/or research, were able to question Dr. Bob and
learn about
his other prostate cancer treatment protocols; their results; as well
as
inquires of his opinions, insights and his experiences with his
prostate cancer
research and treatment. Because Dr. Bob did not know or expect
any of
this other than the lecture, all of his responses were spontaneous.
He
loved the entire day and all of its parts, and especially the
intellectual
challenges.
His lecture
was recorded on DVD but unfortunately, there was a sound recording
malfunction. Hence, we are unable to have a copy available
to the public. Dr. Bob is doing another lecture in Westlake
Village on May 16th (click here for more info)
and this lecture will be recorded to produce an updated DVD. Stay
tuned to the Video Lectures Page for
information on availability.
The Fred Hutchinson
Cancer Research Center thanks Dr. Bob for his lecture. See thank
you letter by clicking here.

(Not So) Secret Recipe
for Treating Metastatic, Advanced or Recurrent Prostate Cancer"
is now available for download! Check out Dr. Bob's other papers here.
